OUR PROJECTS
Our projects are dedicated to celebrating creativity, craftsmanship, and excellence in fashion while empowering lives through practical skills and opportunity. Through competitions, exhibitions, mentorship programs, fashion showcases, vocational training, and collaborative initiatives, Lesdary creates platforms for emerging designers and young people, especially those without sustainable means of livelihood, to develop employable skills, gain industry exposure, and build successful, independent fashion brands. By promoting entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and job creation, our projects contribute to economic growth and community development. Led by our CEO, Madam Elizabeth Njoh, a member of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Lesdary proudly contributes through its mission to advances the Fellowship’s vision of youth empowerment by equipping the next generation with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to transform their lives and make meaningful contributions to society.
LESDARY-GRAND CHALLENGE COUTURE 2026
The Lesdary Grand Challenge Couture 2026 is a fashion competition initiative organized by Lesdary Global Academy of Fashion Design & Business to celebrate creativity, innovation, and excellence among its former students. The challenge aims to provide a platform where alumni can showcase their fashion design skills, gain professional visibility, and compete for attractive cash prizes. Beyond competition, the event seeks to inspire entrepreneurship, strengthen alumni engagement, and promote the growth of Cameroon’s fashion industry and the world at large.
Objectives
The project aims to:
- Showcase and reward outstanding fashion talent among Lesdary alumni.
- Promote creativity, innovation, and technical excellence in fashion design.
- Encourage entrepreneurship and business development within the fashion sector.
- Strengthen the relationship between Lesdary Institute and its former students.
- Increase public awareness of the quality and impact of Lesdary’s training programs.
Target Audience
- Former students of Lesdary Institute of Fashion Design & Business.
Location
- The competition will be held in Douala, Cameroon, with participants drawn from Lesdary alumni across the country..
Time Period
- The project will run from July to August 2026, covering participant registration, design development, judging, and the grand finale showcase and award ceremony.
Expected Impact
The challenge is expected to identify and promote talented designers, create networking opportunities, stimulate innovation in fashion, and support participants in transforming their skills into sustainable businesses. It will also enhance the visibility of Lesdary Institute as a leading center for fashion education and entrepreneurship in Cameroon.
